LATEST July 9, 8:40 a.m. Concerning weather conditions are on the horizon for firefighters as the Washburn Fire in Yosemite National Park continues to grow.
The wildfire, which started on Thursday afternoon near the Washburn Trail in the southern end of the park, is at 703 acres as of Friday morning. There was moderate fire growth overnight; at 5 p.m. Friday, the blaze was at 466 acres. There is still no containment. You can see the latest incident reports from Yosemite National Park here.
