Investigators piece together timeline of Mary Anderson’s death; last seen in Hudson, NH

Investigators are searching for information in connection to the death of a Harvard, Massachusetts woman last seen in Hudson, New Hampshire.The body of Mary Anderson, 23, was found in Brattleboro, Vermont early Tuesday morning. Her body was found at about 12:55 a.m. in her blue 2017 Toyota Tacoma with Massachusetts license plate PC 8DXW20.Later the same day, her ex-boyfriend, Mathew Davis, 34, of Fitchburg, Massachusetts, was shot and killed by police.Officials said he was walking through a wooded area west of Brattleboro and armed with a knife. Officials said Brattleboro Patrol Officer Ryder Carbone fired a shotgun during the confrontation.According to sister station WCVB, Anderson’s family said the pair recently broke up in November after dating for three years.Anderson’s friends said Davis had been harassing Anderson online before she went missing.“He was tagging her locations, where she worked, where she went to school, just trying to damage her, I think emotionally, and you know she was doing very good with coping with that and she was going to go to the police on Sunday about it and she never had to the opportunity to,” said Alicia Giannino, a friend of Anderson. Sister station WCVB said Davis was convicted for violently stabbing a man in Pittsfield in 2009, where he spent several years in prison for the crime.Police are currently processing Davis’ vehicle for clues.The autopsies for Anderson and Davis are expected to be finalized before Thursday. Anderson’s cause of death has not yet been released.Massachusetts State Police said investigators are working to determine if Davis or Anderson have any connection to Brattleboro.
